Hilary Everest at Press

I’m a printmaker and illustrator working across linocut, drypoint etching and collage. My work ranges from bold, graphic linocuts to softer, more detailed etchings — a technique I’ve begun exploring more recently and continue to develop with real curiosity.

My inspiration is simple: I’m drawn to nature and the shapes and details that catch my eye — strong forms in the landscape, a sweeping field or an interesting pathway, and the small character of animals I’m fond of. I often combine sketches and photographs to build my compositions.

Throughout the year I take part in events where I sell my work and meet people who share an interest in printmaking. At the start of 2024 I became a member of Artful Collective, a community of artists and makers from Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. The collective celebrates creativity in all its forms and supports both emerging and established artists.

You can also find a selection of my work at the following locations:

The Little Chapel, Whitchurch, Hants

Winchester Visitor Information Centre, The Guildhall, Winchester
